Hotline’s Annual Bowl-athon Fundraiser Will be Matched Dollar-for-Dollar by Challenge Grants From PG & E and Supervisor Jerry Lenthall
San Luis Obispo – Hotline announces it’s 26th annual Bowl-athon, beginning February 28th through March 11th. The Bowl-athon is Hotline’s biggest fundraiser of the year, bringing in approximately 30 percent of its revenue, and this year will help match $50,000 to help Hotline acquire the easy to remember 211 dialing code.
Bowl-athon will take place at Pismo Bowl, Paso Robles Bowl and Mustang Lanes at Cal Poly. The fundraiser includes two games of bowling, shoes and a light meal to all teams that participate.
To sign up, assemble a team of five bowlers. Each team member is required to raise a minimum of $100.00 in pledges to Hotline.
Hotline is the only 24 hour, seven days a week free phone service that offers support, crisis intervention information and referrals to over 600 health and human service programs and support groups within the county. With the community’s support, Hotline will switch its number to 211 by summer 2007.
For more information on how to participate, please contact Linda McGregor at bat@slohotline.org or by phone at (805) 773-4414.
