211 Supporter

Welcome to 211 SLO Hotline

Hotline is San Luis Obispo County's only comprehensive information, referral, support and crisis intervention service available free of charge, 24 hours every day. Our confidential telephone services allow callers to remain anonymous while receiving assistance in crisis situations, as well as answering non-emergency questions about local health and social service resources.

Hotline also serves as the after-hours contact for two women's shelters, the homeless shelter, and many private therapists. It is a valuable resource for government and social service agencies.

We maintain the only comprehensive database of county-wide information on human service agencies and support groups, and annually distribute printed copies of our Human Services Directory to businesses, schools, health and human service agencies, as well as government agencies.

Our Vision

To build and maintain a healthy, vital community by connecting those in need with available services and supporting their positive choices.

Our Mission

Helping people find their way, every hour of every day.

Our Purpose

To provide accurate and timely information and referrals, support and crisis intervention for the people of San Luis Obispo County in a caring and cost effective way.

To support our local non-profit partners in the delivery of services so that unmet needs in this county can be reduced or eliminated.

Help Us Keep Up With the Increasing Crisis Calls

Due to the difficult and stressful economic times, Hotline's suicide and crisis calls have increased significantly. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a network of interlinked lines like Hotline, says that the number of calls they have gotten in the past year has risen around 35 percent.

How You Can Help Keep the Lines Open

Hotline is signed up for several community partner and charitable programs that help us without costing you a dime. They are easy to sign up for and all the information is right here, with step-by-step instructions. We hope you'll take a minute to support your only 24/7 support and crisis hotline. Go to our Giving Opportunities page for more information on how you can help keep the lines open.
